Privacy policy
The short version: I collect what you type into a form, plus a basic, cookie-free count of visits. I don't use tracking cookies. I never sell your information. The rest of this page is the long version, still in plain English.
Who I am
This website is run by Connor Corkum, a small web design business based in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania. On this page, "I" and "me" mean Connor Corkum.

What I collect, and why
When you fill out a form
The contact form asks for your name, email, and phone number. It can also include your business name, the kind of work you do, your website, good times for a call, and anything you type in the message box. The referral form also asks for the name, business, and phone or email of the person you're referring. Please only share someone else's details if you think they'd want to hear from me.
Forms on this site are sent through Web3Forms, a form service that forwards your message to my business email. This website has no database, so nothing you type is stored on the site itself. Web3Forms says it forwards messages without keeping them. Your message then sits in my business email (see the table below).
When you just visit
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how the site is used. It counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you. It tells me things like which pages get viewed, which website sent you here, the type of device and browser, and your country. It doesn't tell me who you are.
Hosting logs
Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes some technical details every time a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, and the time. It uses them to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. I don't use that information to identify you.
Cookies
I don't put any cookies on this site. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, no Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics, and no ad networks. Fonts load from this site, not from an outside font service. The only outside script is Cloudflare's cookie-free visit counter.
One exception you might run into: if Cloudflare ever needs to check whether a visitor is a bot, it can set a short-lived security cookie. That's for security only, not tracking.
What I do with your information
- Reply to your message
- Do your free site check
- Schedule your call. That means a Google Calendar invite with a Google Meet link sent to your email, and, if you gave me a phone number, a text reminder.
- Keep a simple record of who I've talked to and what about
- Reach out to someone you referred, and pay your referral reward. If someone referred you, I'll reach out and offer a free site check. If you're not interested, tell me and that's the end of it.
What I never do
- Sell your information. To anyone. Ever.
- Share it with anyone for advertising
- Sign you up for a mailing list or send you newsletters
Who else handles it
I use a few outside services to run this business. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.

Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. I'll also share information if the law requires it, such as a valid court order, and only what's required.
How long I keep it
I keep messages and records as long as they're useful for following up with you, or as long as I have to for business and tax records. If you ask me to delete your information, I will, unless the law says I have to keep it.

Keeping it safe
This site runs over HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted on the way. The site has no database, so there's nothing stored on it to steal. My business logins are kept in a password manager. No system is perfectly secure, so I keep as little as I can.
Kids
This site is for business owners. It isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
If you hire me
Information you share for a website project is covered by your written contract with me. Contracts are signed online through BoldSign, payments go through Stripe, the intake form runs on Google Forms, and invoices and bookkeeping run through Wave. Each has its own privacy policy.
Changes and the law
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date below. This policy is governed by Pennsylvania law.
